Small Batch Homemade Almond Butter w/ Espresso

  • 1 cup raw unsalted almonds
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon raw honey
  1. Place almonds in a food processor.
  2. Process until they get a little quieter and form a very coarse meal.
  3. Add espresso and salt and process, scraping down the sides, until it starts to ball up. This will take a while and you'll have to stop your machine often to scrape the bottom and sides and make sure everything is getting incorporated into the butter.
  4. Once it starts to ball up and go around the bowl of the processor in a ball, stop the machine, break up the ball and add the honey.
  5. Process until the oils release and the butter gets creamy.
