A classic summer cocktail, the vodka spritzer, gets an upgrade with an infusion of sweet, fresh cherries and cilantro.
If you look up the word “refreshing” in the dictionary you’ll see this picture next to it. Light and sweet and bubbly, this vodka spritzer is swiftly becoming my go-to summer cocktail.
And summer hasn’t even started yet! {technically.}
This vodka spritzer is perfect for those nights with friends when you want an adult beverage (or two) but don’t necessarily want to drink your face off. Made in a collins glass, it’s a tall drink that’s relatively low in alcohol content. This vodka spritzer is practically designed to help you pace yourself. And according to Livestrong.com there are some health benefits to making vodka your alcohol of choice.
I’m sharing the recipe for this little gem in my final post as part of the creative team at A Dish of Daily Life. Michelle has a highly engaged food-loving community over there and I’ve enjoyed being a part of it. It seemed only natural, necessary even, to finish off with a cocktail.
Going out on a high note, shall we say?
Thank you for indulging me.
Hop on over to A Dish of Daily Life and indulge in this breezy, beautiful cocktail. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, you still need the recipe for this simple syrup. I’ve been enjoying it just with soda water and drizzled over yogurt. Because, contrary to the reputation I may have set up for myself, I don’t drink 24/7 😉

Love the cilantro syrup! I certainly need a cocktail that will help me pace myself. I always start off slow and fall off the wagon pretty quick. This is the perfect drink for me!
I have a similar problem. Except for the starting slow part 😉
Brilliant. This is just my kind of long drink (and I’m very fussy when it comes to long drinks). I also like an intriguing syrup, so I think I’m in for a treat. BTW – love the pouring shot – it’s dreamlike.
I was happy with that too. Total luck. Didn’t even see it in camera, only when I went to edit.
