Warm Granola Breakfast Parfait w/Bear Naked Custom

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Life is full of compromise. But breakfast doesn’t need to be. Getting exactly what you want in your granola breakfast is now incredibly easy. Bear Naked Custom offers a host of flavor options, both sweet and savory, so you never have to pick out the bits you don’t like again. Sponsored by Bear Naked Granola.

This post is sponsored by Bear Naked Custom, I was paid for this post and received the included granola as compensation.

Are you sitting there thinking, “I’m not really a granola person.” I used to be like you. My issue was similar to the one I have with trail mix. There are all these bits and bobs in there and I’m sure it was all created according to someone’s taste.

But it wasn’t mine. Inevitably there are one or two unidentifiable ingredients I have to spend time and energy fishing out. Not worth it.

Bear Naked Custom has finally and deliciously addressed this issue. Ready to become someone who enjoys a wholesome granola breakfast?

White bowl full of chocolate Bear Naked custom granola breakfast with dried strawberries, cherries and praline pecans.Like so many things in life, the trick to enjoying granola is just a matter of finding the right blend.

For me, the key ingredient is salt. Granola has always been too sweet for my taste. But when I saw Red Sea Salt on offer as part of a Bear Naked Custom blend I began to envision a lot of mornings filled with granola breakfast.

The myriad of choices include bourbon flavor, freeze dried jalapeño, bacon flavored sprinkles (which are actually vegetarian,) dried pomegranate arils, cacao nibs and curry.

Then IBM Watson calculates your flavor synergy. Mine was “we bow to your creativity.”  This happens to me on a daily basis so I wasn’t surprised.

  • HONEY BEAR ~ Honey base with dried blueberries, lavender and pepitas.
  • BEARLY SWEET ~ Cacao + Cashew Butter base with cinnamon, freeze-dried apple slices and red sea salt.
  • BEARING FRUIT ~ Chocolate base with dried cherries, freeze-dried strawberries and praline pecans.

But the fun doesn’t end there. Next you get to choose a bear to appear on your carton of custom granola. There are four “characters” to choose from, all with a backstory of course OR you can upload a picture and Bearify YOURSELF! So fun.

When your granola arrives, things get even easier! Just add your favorite milk (cashew in my case) and get your day started on exactly the right note.

No one in their right mind would blame you for stopping right there. Buuuuuttttt….

Granola breakfast parfait with yogurt and Bear Naked custom granolaIF you decide you want to change that granola breakfast routine up a little bit? Here is my suggestion. Don’t add anything to it. It’s already perfect, remember? You made sure of that.

Just warm it up a little bit. Thirty seconds under the broiler gets those flakes a little toasty on the edges and any chocolate or cacao that may be in there a little melty. Then you layer the granola in with some cool, unsweetened greek yogurt and you feel a little fancy with very little effort.

A warm granola and yogurt parfait is especially nice on a crisp Fall morning with a nice cup of coffee.

My son LOVES it! We’re cutting sugar out of breakfast and these were the lowest geo Nola I could find with the least amount of sugars! Thanks for the ideas.

Ok, I’m sold just on the packaging and the concept of create my own and have it delivered but your middle flavour – yes, the cinnamon, the apples and the salt (red – fancy). Oh my. Can I copy? Is that allowed? Also, why have I never thought to warm up my granola before? Have some more bows.

Copying is so allowed. That was the flavor I made according to my tastes and then I did one for each of my kids. I liked them all, even the chocolate which I was sure would be too sweet but wasn’t. But the dried apple was my favorite. Enjoy!

Yes! And the cacao in mine got a little melty, too, which is extra delicious. Happy weekend to you, too.

I love granola and have enjoyed this brand. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such cute packaging before though. It’s the perfect way to dress up my granola and love the idea of heating it a bit.
