Cooking is (or can be…if you’re not there yet stick around) a celebration of life. And, fortunately, life is a lot longer than we realized back when we were 15 or 16. It’s also a lot less linear.
Which means it’s never too late to make changes.
If you’re here because healthy is your MO, awesome. If you’re here because you just want a healthy meal this one time before you go back to your regularly scheduled diet of cookies and ice cream, also awesome. Let me be clear:
I don’t care what you eat.
I care how you feel about it.
It bums me out how often we associate what we eat with our self worth. Our value as human beings has absolutely nothing to do with what goes into our mouths.
Now, what comes out of our mouths…that’s a different story. And a different blog.
About 90% of the recipes on this blog are relatively healthy. That reflects my basic approach to food in real life. I go for 90% healthy and 10% indulgent. But I strive to Enjoy (mm hmm, I capitalized it!) every single thing I put into my mouth.
There’s absolutely no good reason not to.
So, are you ready to celebrate?
This Baked Eggs with Lentils recipe is the all-time most popular recipe on this here blog. It’s low carb, high protein and vegetarian.
I have nine recipes for tea-infused smoothies on this blog but this Jasmine Tea Infused Peach Smoothie is the most popular. The kefir gives it a great tang.
And these Amaretto Sour Cherry Popsicles are a sweet/tart frozen adult treat that really struck a chord with the pinners on Pinterest.
If you’d like to sign up for my bi-monthly recipe digests you can do that here. They’ll come right to your inbox along with a downloadable copy of my FREE mini-cookbook.
I also work with food brands, blogs and restaurants to create eye-catching visual content. That portfolio lives at Siracusa Studios.
